Bostonstronggggg Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I bank fish and want a box that's very versital and can carry anything, but it also needs to be able to fit in a backpack. I have one bait casting rod/reel and one spinning rod/reel. I just want to be able to cover all types of fishing and I just need something to carry all my tackle. Any popular tackle boxes I should consider? I don't wanna just throw all my stuff in a backpack. Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted April 18, 2015 Super User Posted April 18, 2015 Plano 3600 and 3700's, but there are other brands that have boxes the same size.. Can get you a few of those and carry what you need in them. Quote
GoRavens Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I just got 4 3700s to put in my backpack. I'm good. I had Flambeau but they warped on me Quote
Cameron211 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Spiderwire bag. Cant tell you exactly what its called but all of the spiderwire tackle bags are nice. You look at those Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 18, 2015 Super User Posted April 18, 2015 Double sided 3600 boxes are great for backpack setups. Quote
Vayned Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Currently use the Spiderwire Utility box backpack, from the looks they redesigned it. It's served me well and will hold a lot items. Only using it until I get a boat then the boxes will be stored on there. Quote
Blwaz23 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Has anyone tried the Shimano Blackmoon Backpack? (https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-SHIMFSHSTG.html?from=basres) Expensive but looks very nice. Quote
travis23 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 There is nothing better and cheaper than a plain old backpack with a couple Plano boxes stuffed inside. I know I hate the shoulder strap bags. After awhile they kill your shoulder and you have to put them down to cast. Quote
madweazl Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I have a Spiderwire backpack and it's a love hate relationship. The straps and back of the pack make it nice and comfy to wear and holds a fair amount of stuff. My biggest complaint is that it doesnt stand up well when not being worn. Not too bad if all the boxes are in it. The "cooler" portion of it is useless for keeping food/drink items so I just stuffed more gear in there. It has served me well for trout but doesnt seem to work as well for my bass gear. Quote
I.rar Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I must be the minority. I feel I'm packing heavy with one or two 3500s in a Plano crappie bag. My usual bank beating bag is a waist bag with a few bags of plastics and a 5 compartment box slung over my shoulder. When I first got into fishing I did the back pack thing but rarely ever went through 20 count bags of plastics 4 or more hooks, Jigs, etc. So I ended up packing what I know I will use with just a bit extra and it conveniently fits in the small bag. Different strokes? Quote
madweazl Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I want to find something that has a lot of pockets for my plastics bags so I dont have to fish through them to find what I want. Was thinking about having my wife make some sort of caddy for the plastics with embroidered labels on velcro so I could easily identify them without pulling them out of the pockets. Quote
