I'd just laugh.

Heck, I've had random junkies try to start fights with us before for literally no reason. Even then we just laughed and carried on. Not worth letting some dirtbird suck you into their problems and ruin your day or maybe even your life.

I got tattoos on my arms that are visible and you can fish with me any time. Love the work. Props to the artist

Sorry to hear that happened to you and your friend. Its so hard to figure out some of the jerks walking around among the masses. We can cure cancer, have a heart transplant, but you can't do a dam thing for plain old fashion stupid!!!!! Don't let this effect your life one bit.

Can I fish with you :) Suggestion guys, anytime you are hassled in a boat or at a ramp ignore the guy, then get on your cell phone and call 911 or call a park ranger. I keep both phone numbers in my cell phone. There are a lot of nuts out there. I once had a young guy drive up to me on an ATV as I was fastening down my boat to the trailer. He got off and came up to me, said he wanted my opinion, pulled out a big knife and showed me the engraving on it. He wanted to know if I liked it. I said it looked good, I started walking around to the other side of the boat and began dialing 911. He left.

Why I love Indiana gun laws. Never leave anywhere without carrying my firearm. To many weirdos out there that try to find an opportunity when your alone

In the end you honestly shouldn't care one bit about what others may say about any physical feature. Like AR said it's life and life is too short to waste one second on the negative.

your so right on that on there I honestly don't care what anyone has to say about how I look with my tattoos but its just crazy to me how people are today in this world. But I'm not gonna let it get to me and make me stop fishing . to me just because someone have tattoos do sent mean they are a bad person

Then the guy standing in his boat said to me you look sicking with all them tattoos and should not be alound to fish so I trued around and then said thanks.

You should have just told him that people with crappy attitudes like his shouldn't be allowed to fish. What do your looks have anything to do with fishing?

To me looks and all that has nothing to do with fish at all but I guess to some people out there it dose. For me when people say stuff like that guy did to me and my friend today I just walk away because it's not worth the time or a fight or anything like that

Yep we go fishing to relax and enjoy out selves not pick fights with people about our decisions

That guy was way out of line by saying people with tattoo's shouldn't be allowed to fish, when the truth is you should be allowed to fish, but just not allowed to post on this forum... (Dear J Francho, that was a joke).

When I encounter people like that, the rational portion of my brain says to walk away.  Unfortunately, that is often over ruled by the smart-aleck portion of my brain, who quickly finds ways to insult said idiot.  I have a quick wit, an even faster mouth and the willingness to go for the jugular when verbally jousting with others.  However, I found that if I say it with a big ol' goofy smile and laugh "with them", not at them, and don't challenge their masculinity, it kind of breaks the tension and they back off.  I told a fat guy once who dared me to throw a punch at him "Sorry, I am not in your weight class, the WBC won't sanction it" and he started cracking up.

Make them feel guilty.  Tell them the tattoo's are there to cover up the scars you have from when you ran into a burning convent to save a flock of nuns.  Sister Bertrille's habit caught on fire as you carried her to safety, searing 85% of your body.  The more ridiculous the story, the more dumbfounded they become.

As you can see, most of us could care less what an individual may say or do while we are enjoying what WE do. Some people are rude, some mean, then some are rude and mean. Kill them with kindness, smile, say thank you and hope you have a great day and enjoy the outdoors.  Most expecting a response have no idea what to say after that for the simple fact they now look like a total tool which they were to begin with anyways.  Now about those tat's, gotta keep some sunscreen on them to keep that ink from fading.

Ignore those clowns and move on.  It's their problem, not yours.  Those people are the exception, most people in the outdoors feel a brotherhood with others that enjoy it, regardless of what they look like.

That is some awesome ink. Don't give the haters any thought.

Haters gonna hate, vegetables gonna vegitate, alligators gonna alligate. Who cares what they think. Fish on and enjoy life. You can't change ignorance and you can't fix stupid. If you feel it necessary to entertain what they have to say, then by all means spin the table on them and have some fun with it.

If I recall correctly, Ike has quite a few tattoos and looks for the most part completely opposite of most other pro fisherman. I'll bet a grand they wouldn't say that to him. Hell, I'll bet my truck on it.

Nice tats man...tight lines! This country still has a lot of folks who have very conservative and who are very closed minded to anything outside of what they consider to be the norm. Every day I am surprised by just how far WE HAVE NOT come in regard to a lot of things in our "modern" society and world. In a lot of ways I feel like we've taken a lot of steps in the wrong direction. Political correctness for example has become rampant in this country and it's sickening to me. You can't even hurt someone's feelings without worrying about a law suit. Look at the race issues we still have too. Unreal and sad but true. Get out there and slay the fish and make sure you get your tats in the pics too....very cool sir.

I can understand the disillusion at your age, believe me, there are very good & decent folks in the world yet.. As far back as recorded history goes, the general theme remains, basically unchanged. It's sad, but it's true.. Like I said before, that's just the way it is.. I don't like it anymore than you, and I'm nearly double your age.. Hang tough, best wishes!
