Maggiesmaster Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 I have a couple of Lews Tournent Pro reels that I love. However, I've got $150 Bass Pro gift cards & they don't sell Lews reels. What is the best $150 reel that Bass Pro sells? Quote
Super User lmbfisherman Posted April 15, 2015 Super User Posted April 15, 2015 If you're talking just store brand, BPS Pro Qualifier definitely for $100. The Johnny Morris Carbonlite reel gets decent reviews too. (Currently on sale online $140). Other than that they carry Shimano, Abu Garcia, Daiwa...take your pick. Quote
robster80 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 daiwa or shimano. those r available way cheaper elsewhere so id probably get a PQ Quote
Poolshark Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 If I weren't going to spend the extra thirty for a curado... The tatula and citica are good. Quote
Dirty South Fishing Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Pflueger supreme. Seriously, amazingly good reel for $100. Plus you will have roughly $45 left over! Quote
jtesch Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 You will pay $50 more then you have to for the Tatula if you buy it at Bass Pro, kick in a little more and get a Curado. This coming from a Daiwa guy! Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted April 16, 2015 Super User Posted April 16, 2015 Curado I is $150 at Dicks sporting goods BPS should price match them. They might??match TW for $140 Quote
timsford Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Id wait for a sale and get a pro qualifier reel and one of their store brand rods to put it on. Or line and lures if you already have the rod you want Quote
mrc.in.wi Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 If you're talking just store brand, BPS Pro Qualifier definitely for $100.Best reel they sell IMO Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted April 16, 2015 Super User Posted April 16, 2015 Their Pro Qualifiers are good reels. Depending on if you care about weight or not, the Signature Series are a good buy too. They are built like tanks and will be in service for a long time. Just to clarify they aren't a heavy reel, just not feather light like a lot of the high end ones today. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 16, 2015 Super User Posted April 16, 2015 Curado I is $150 at Dicks sporting goods BPS should price match them. They might??match TW for $140 BPS will price match brick & mortar stores within a 200 mile radius. They do not match internet quotes. The Curado I would be an excellent choice! Quote
Super User *Hootie Posted April 16, 2015 Super User Posted April 16, 2015 American legacy fishing has Curado i reels for $139.00 Don't know for how long. Hootie Quote
