Pretty much everything up to about a half ounce. What's the taper/action? That's where things get specific.

look at the lure weight specifications of the rod and that will give you a good idea. Action would be a bigger factor in what presentations I'd use a specific rod for.

With a medium rod I'd be careful using hooks are that are too heavy as you might not have the necessary power to drive a heavy gauge hook effectively into the roof of a fish's mouth

Depends on the the specific rod. My Quantum Smoke rod is rated 1/4-3/4oz is Medium/Fast. I throw 1/8oz spinnerbaits up to 3/4oz lipless cranks.

Pretty much what J said. Depends on brand, taper/action.

A 7ft medium fast rod is probally one of the most versatile rods out there.Use it for plastics or moving baits...

Spinnerbaits. Small t rigs, light wire jigs, jerkbaits, pretty versatile.

Well, you could probably use it for Jerkbaits and topwaters, perhaps single hook reaction baits, like spinnerbaits and swim jigs. Small jigs, like the baby advantage from D&L.

Anything a MH rod can do but lighter.

In my quiver I have three 7' medium power, fast action rods. If I took only those rods on a trip, I could fish 95% of what's in my tackle bags.

My medium action rods (have 3) two are Moderate action and I only fish cranks/jerkbaits and spinnerbaits on.  The other is a fast action which I use more for cranks(larger shallow), spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, topwater.  I have fished some jigs and worms but prefer a MH Mod/fast action rod for those.  Like the softer rods for mainly reaction bites and treble hook baits where I feel the softer give in the rod helps keep the fish attached.

What everyone else said, but I'd avoid using it in heavy cover because you'll most likely struggle to get your fish out or lose a lot of them.
