What do you prefer for a drop shot leader when connecting to a braid main line?  I was thinking of trying 8lb Seaguar red label, will that work?  Just looking to hear what works for you before I order some line.

That is exactly what I used last season on all my drop shot rigs and had great success with it.   I have recently switched over to 8 lb vicious flourocarbon pro elite because I picked up a spool for next to nothing at a bargain store but really haven't had a chance to fish with it yet. I spooled 2 baitcasters with it and am using it as drop shot leader.   I'm guessing before the season ends I'll probably go back to Red Label as I haven't had much success with other Vicious lines. I have a lot of confidence with Red Label.  Doesn't make sense why I would go away from something that I have that much confidence in but half of the fun of Bass fishing is trial and error.

I always use a leader, always fluoro. Brand doesn't matter as much for leaders because cast-ability of the line isn't an issue. I use trilene 100% mainly or suffix in 12lb or 20lb.

I will tie leaders as short as a foot and up to 6ft depending on the day.

I used 6lb Berkley 100% as a leader on mine all of last year without a problem.

I've been using this line but on my whole spool. It's tough stuff!

Yea I did the year before but after the rave reviews of using braid with a leader I decided to try it. I think I might be going back to the fluoro this year. Have you tried the 100% XL? It's a little more limp and seems to have a bit more stretch, but I really like that too.

8lb InvizX or Red Label for me with no issues.
