So I introduced my wife to bed fishing this year for the first time. I got to a nice little cove last week at Saguaro lake, and she's amazed with how clear the water is, and how the bass won't leave the beds. I figure she's just giving me courtesy nods and "oh cools!". She usually humors me by coming, but only for the sun tan and prosecco.

So while I'm working a few bed fish in front of the boat, I hear some splashing and commotion, and feel the boat rocking from the back end. Then I see her pull in her first bed fish all on her own! I was so proud. I couldn't believe she caught it all on her own, and even more, couldn't believe she actually listened to my instruction on how to bed fish. I thought she was just being a good wife and listening to me drone on and on and on....
