You should be able to turn down the noise reduction for the top several feet of water, if I remember correctly.  Do that and re-adjust your sensitivity.

 

No, it's the Surface Clarity setting.

Yeah, well I was working from memory, which is limited, since the manual, IMO, isn't all that helpful.  :confused3:
