Cheap Sunglass Wearers Unit! I Need A New Pair :)

Hey guys. I need a new pair of fishing/polarized sunglasses for less than $50, preferably closer to $25. I usually find a decent pair on sale for $25 and am happy with that level quality. Seen any good sales?

Check Walmart. I bought a pair of tortoise shell Amber lens glasses hank Parker brand last week in a pinch when I left my costas at home. 20 bucks and I'll admit I was pretty impressed with the quality of these glasses

I found a pair, called Fish finders at Bass pro, and am still impressed. Its the only one I wear now, I leave my cocoons at home...great find for me, as they fit over my glasses, and are only around 20 bucks...

Calcutta's are pretty cheap, $25 or so.  Use them at work  for any outside work so if they get messed up I don't mind as opposed to the Kaenon's that are sitting in my bag safely in my room.

If I need a cheap pair I get the $5 Berkley's from Wal Mart. They work pretty well and when they break, you lose them, or they get scratched up, you just buy a new pair.

You get 1 set of eyes in your lifetime, good glasses are absolutely worth it to me.

I wear oakleys because I have for years and love how they fit my head. I actually have two pairs. But I have not gotten around to ordering polarized lenses for one set. I wear Calcutta polarized. Got them by the register at my local tackle shop. Like everyone said tho for long extended use try and take care of your eyes with something quality. But for just wearing fishing the Calcutta perform great

You dont have to buy glasses out of the Sporting Goods dept. Go to the sunglass displays and just look for Polarized . Fishing glasses that wrap  around my face get steamed up a lot. I prefer Aviator style anyway. They look cooler .

I've had good luck with Suncloud polarized. They're Smith's cheaper line. 

 

I think Kaenon has a similar, lower-priced line as well.

I have a couple pairs (different lens colors) of typhoon sunglasses that I've bought off Ebay.  For the price they are very comfortable, polarized and offer great clarity for fishing.

berkely or spiderwire from walmart. I have a big head and they have some that fit and dont squeeze my head. Plus I lost a pair overboard on my kayak. Shrugged it off and just bought a new pair. I would have gone crazy if I had bought some more expensive pair.

I love the Strike King Monsta's for really cheap glasses $24.99, or the S11's. I always have 2 pair in stock. Can't stress the significance of polarized glasses. Of the many things I can see with polarized glasses, probably the most important is being able to see followers or short strikes on my bait. Seeing the structure tells you where the fish might be, seeing the fish react to your bait tells you what mode they are in and without polarized glasses you miss out on both of those key clues to figuring them out.

4 years ago I paid $40 for a pair from a vendor in a tent outside the BX on an Army post.  Best sunglasses I've ever owned - totally unbreakable and totally scratch resistant.  Lifetime warranty ($10 shipping.)  Last fall, the tent was there and I asked about the wear on the rubber on the side...not bad, but a little worn.  I handed them $10 and got a brand new identical pair. 

 

Sunglass Discounters.  Google 'em and they look like a 'shady' outfit....  Doesn't appear to have an online presence, but if you come across their tent outside a BX or mall or something, I highly recommend them.

For many years, I've worn Walmart Solar Shield fitovers. They're $20 a pair and have side and brow shields. I wear them at work, fishing and for working in the yard at home. I can't (won't) pay big bucks for prescription sunglasses, since eventually they will be lost, broken or scratched so badly they're unusable. I've benn wearing my current pair for three years now and they're still going strong.
