What's the best color to use for Largemouth? Pond fishing or Lake..

That really depends, Chris. If you have a lot of

blue-tail skinks running around, you could try

black with blue tail lizards.

Hard to go wrong with "standard" colors like

watermelon, green pumpkin, black.

For me, lizards are more successful during the

spawn than other times of the year. I've had

most success with Zoom's Watermelon Gold.

When I'm not on the lake fishing for smallmouth, I usually fish the ponds around my house that are hidden in the woods.. Big bass and usually catch them on black. .. gonna grab some green pumpkin/ chartreuse and try those out too...

There is no best color. I throw a lot of Lizards and have had success on everyone and every color. Some of the  colors I have done well with are Electric blue, purple , black blue tail , black chartreuse tail , brown chartreuse tail , brown

Green pumpkin and black are the only 2 lizard colors I carry.

Junebug or black for dark water- watermelon red or green pumpkin for stained/clear water. Start there.

Tip- if you gently mash the tail of your green pumpkin lizard on the side of your boat- you now have a chartreuse tail. ;)

I like Zoom Lizards the best out of the ones I have tried.  As far as color goes, any dark color works for me but my favorite is black with blue flakes and a blue tail and legs (candy bug).  They have so many that look similar but the pic below is close.

ZOOM watermelon seed green is my new addiction.

It is the only thing I am throwing and I am slaughtering the fish right now.

Zoom Pumpkin & Black Red Glitter Lizards work for me. Maybe I'll experiment with more colors this years.
