Pa Angler Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Depends on structure, depth, time of day etc. I use a varitey of baits never really relying on any one all the time have 4 to 6 rods rigged up at any one time. Chow Quote

boondocks Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Oh how I love fishing crankbaits.Whether I'm fishing for bass, walleye, or pike.Don't matter what kind, lipless, deepdiving, shallow diving, jointed, straight, suspending, or floating.A lot of the time I find myself fishing them a lot longer than I should be when they aren't produceing simply cause I like fishing them so much.I plan on changing that in the near future though.Gotta learn to fish those Senkos.I hear nothing but good things about them. Valascus Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 This little guy That little guy looks familiar . It got me one of my 4 hook ups at the Rock. As for me...I use a TON of crankbaits. It just seems like I can always catch SOMETHING on 'em. Normally some sorta baitfish colors...shad, bluegill, firetiger, or when fall and winter roll around and shade of red or crayfish looking colors. Jigs are starting to quickly become my second go to bait...ben pretty much all I have fished since about 9-30-06 with decent success. Quote
NEBassMan Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I'd say crankbaits and t-rigged worms. If i'm not crankin deep, i'm shallow pullin em in on some sort of t-rigged worm. Jason Quote
VekolBass Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 My starting line-up most days (3 pre-rigged rods): Spinnerbait. Generally 1/2 white with the main blade a Colorado, and a white trailer. Rat-L-Trap, generally 1/2-3/4 oz chrome/blue. Senko. Always with some greenish color to it. I generally am fishing shallow water in and around weeds. Quote
CyBasser Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 There is really not a single lure that I would say I fish most often - it really depends on the situation I have to face. I would use anything, finesse T-rig worms, cranks, spinnerbaits, topwaters, jigs, you name it. BUT: If I was restricted to only three lures to use, based on my past experience they would be 1. Spinnerbait 1/2oz with colorado and willow gold blades and chartrause/white skirt. 2. Yamamoto 6" Senko Black/Blue Flake (weightless). 3. Rapala Flat-sided, square-lipped DT7 (I'm not sure if it's the correct name) with blue back and chartrause sides. Quote
Rattlinrogue Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Hard to name just one,but I mostly use C-rig w/Various plastics, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and flippin tubes. Quote

Hillbilly_Hooker Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Mine would be a toss-up between a white spinnerbait and a T-rigged Yum Dinger in Carolina Pumpkin/Chartreuse. Quote

jomatty Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 im got a very junky style but you can almost bet that ill have a jig of some sort, depending on what im fishing and a hand poured senko or fat ika tied on(often interchangeable on the same rig). they rarely dont fit somewhere in the arsenal. matt Quote
Bean Counter Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 If I was limited to one bait it would be a T-rigged worm year round. I usually go out with six rods rigged. Most days they would be: T-rigged worm Spinner bait Senko or Fat Ika Crank bait Buzz bait or other topwater Finesse or trick worm on Spinning Rod The top two don't change, I use them year round. The bottom four change according to where I am Fishing, time of year, depth, type of structure etc. Quote
llPa1nll Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I fish with a number of rods out on the deck usually about 6 rods. The rod locker hides the other 8 rods, what can I say the Bait Monkey owns me. However, I will say there is one rod that the lure doesnt change, Castaway Jig & Worm Rod 6ft 10in MH, Diawa TD-Z left hand retrieve , Pline 20lb Flurocarbon, 1/4 oz Black & Blue Hi-Tek Tackle GMW (Get Me Wet) Jig w/Uncle Josh #11 Black Pork Frog. Nuff said.. Quote
