meade95 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I've mostly used off-set worm hooks for fishing my worms and flukes (even some creature baits). I'm wanting to start using straight shank hooks (as I read hook up % are much better). Recommended hooks? As of now I'm thinking of getting the Roboworm Rebarb Hooks ) Also size wise would a 3/0 be good enough for 7 - 10 inch worms or would 4/0 be better? Thanks! Quote
Super User Catt Posted April 8, 2015 Super User Posted April 8, 2015 If you are going with a straight shank make sure it has a round bend. Hook size it determinded by the diameter of the plastic not length. Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted April 9, 2015 Super User Posted April 9, 2015 I like the gamakatsu straight shanks, I get them from academy sports & outdoors. Quote
Stapsy Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I love the roboworm re-barb hooks. If you are only going to get one size I would go for the 4/0, which would let you rig up larger stickbaits and will still work for thinner worms. Quote
