caudburns11 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Since I've gotten more and more into bass fishing my lure/bait collection has grown a lot. The past couple of years I've been able to get by with my soft sided Berkeley tacklebox with the three containers that came with it, but this year I don't think it will be enough, so I'm looking to upgrade my tackle box for the season and wondering what are some pretty decent ones at not to steep of a price ($40-$60). I've got my lures organized and separated and I'm probably looking for something that can hold 5-6 average sized containers. I prefer a soft sided tackle box simply because it's easier to transport/carry around and keep organized. Quote
junyer357 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I have a bag from bps that holds 7 3700 boxes. I usually keep 4 3700's, a 3600, and a bunch of gallon. ziplock bags with my plastics in them. Its simple and works. Fits in the rear box of most boats plus it has a shoulder strap for bank fishing. Quote
robster80 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 i have the plano softsider x tackle bag 3600 size. awesome bag but quickly ran out of space. may pick up the 3700 size if i dont opt for a different bag. check em out at TW Quote

Alpha Male Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 also consider the cabelas advanced angler tackle bag. there are four sizes and I would recommend getting one bigger than you think you will need. although unless you have your own boat or a family members boat I would say that the SUPER magnum would be TOO big. I have the magnum and its huge to me. 1 Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted April 7, 2015 Super User Posted April 7, 2015 I have the older version of the Bass Pro Extreme Qualifier 370 bag. It worked really well for me, and still does a good job when I travel to fish out of someone else's boat. Quote

The only problem I had was it was a little to big to start out, so I just had to full the empty spaces, this leading to the classic bait monkey dilemma.Plus you can get it without trays and save some cash. Global Moderator Mike L Posted April 7, 2015 Global Moderator Posted April 7, 2015 Ive gone through a few bags over the years and finally settled on the Flambeau AZ Series of soft size bags. I use the AZ8 it's the larger of them all but perfect for me as it camcan hold 8 boxes and has all the right compartments both zippered and velcroed in all the right places. Check it out Mike 1 Quote
primetime Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I like a Nike Gym Bag, has a nice pad and is comfortable, fits 5 large boxes, extra reel or 2 plus spool of line, few pounds of plastics, and a few small boxes of terminal tackle, and inline spinners, panfish drop shot streamers etc....I could not find a "Fishing Bag" large enough but my Gym bag is awesome, has 4 outside compartments, and is top quality and probably waterproof since it is a Nike Gym bag... I also like paying $25 instead of $80 while having more space and is more comfortable and easy to transport and fit or move when needed, I use a back pack for shore fishing. Quote

The large Berkeley tackle bag is awesome, comes with 3 large containers which you could easily swap out for 5-6 averages Quote
