What are the best value jerkbaits out there? I love jerkbait fishing but I'm on a super tight budget right now and can only afford 2 or 3 at some of the prices they are going for, so I really want to know if im going to spend that much on a lure which brand will give me the best value

On a side note, if anyone has a few they would be willing to part with please message me, I'd love to buy them on here so I could get more with the little money I have for fishing gear.

Lucky Craft Pointers. They will last you quite a while if you don't lose them.

Just looked into those, how do they compare to the mega bass ones? I'm sure they are not as good of a lure but do they compare?

They don't suspend quite as well but they work like a charm for me. It's not that much of a difference that I'm willing to spend 3 times the amount for the higher end one.

Flashminnow, Pointer/ Slender Pointer, Staysee. Buy one of each in your favorite color and size. Those would hold the fort for a while; that is, until you get real serious about jerkbait fishing.

And then, you can PM Dwight.

Lucky craft and megabass are two ive been stalking up on this winter(long long winter it seems). After numerous articles and hours of research and chatter with tons of guys these two seem to be the favourites and the consensus amongst most.  Not saying others wont work but I had the same question over the past 2 seasons and this was what I learned.

Keep an eye out in the flea market forum and on ebay, you can get some pretty good deals if you look hard enough!

Keep your eye on some ebay auctions, you can usually get a little bit of a deal...problem is every other fishermen wants that same deal.  I picked up 3lucky craft jerkbaits and a lucky craft crankbait in 2 auctions for 20 bucks the other day($8 & $12) with shipping(5$) = 25 bucks for 3 pointers and a crankbait that woulda cost me 13.99-17.99 x 4. I was happy with it, all depends what your willing to spend though....

The Cabelas G-Finish Rattlin' Rogues are just stupid good for the money, easily in my top 5 right now. Another less expensive one with good hooks out of the box is the Storm Twitch Stick, it is only $5.00 at TW but don't be fooled by the low price, these are my quickly becoming favorites as well. The Luck-E-Strike RC STX is a decent bait, the hooks on them are light wire VMC, they aren't strong because like the 110 they are modeled after, they are designed to be used on light line. If you want to upgrade the hooks I'd go with the Owner ST-36, they are the strongest hooks that won't affect the suspending properties of the bait.
