Mista bass Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I need to get line for all my combos and I'm not really sure what line to go with. I've used power pro braid and seaguar flouro. I tried out trilene flouro the other day and won't do it again. What's your favorite brand line and why? Quote
robster80 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 mccoy copolymer clear blue. love the stuff. casts great. very low memory. low stretch. not expensive Quote
War Eagle 44 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Power Pro for braid and P-Line for everything else. Quote
a1712 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Like robster80, McCoy Copoly, but I use the Extra Clear. I also use their Flouro. Brian. Quote
SenkoGuru Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Sunline super sniper is very good but I also like Sea-Guar InvizX , those two take care of my Fluorocarbon Power Pro is the best braided line I've used Sunline Defier for Copoly Those have never let me down. I'm happy with them and better yet I have faith that they will hold. IMO, you are off to a good start with what you are using, very few are better than Power Pro Braid and Sea-Guar Fluorocarbon. Again, that is only my own opinion. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted April 6, 2015 Super User Posted April 6, 2015 Seaguar Tatsu is my favorite, Sunline Sniper is my everyday line though, due to price. Quote
Pio Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I use Power Pro for braid and sunline sniper for fluorocarbon. Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I am a big fan of Sufix 832 braided line, but have started using Power Pro and have been pleasantly surprised. I always attach some Sunline Super FC Sniper or Seaguar Blue Label as a leader. Quote
Super User FryDog62 Posted April 6, 2015 Super User Posted April 6, 2015 Half my rods are 832 braid tipped with a fluorocarbon leader tied with a modified Albright. The other half is Yo-Zuri Hybrid in 10, 12 or 15 lb depending on application. Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted April 6, 2015 Super User Posted April 6, 2015 Power Pro braid but only 2 setups, most are seaquar flouro invizx for spinning or abrazx for bc Quote
sprint61 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I use seaguar red label for everything Besides topwater lures. Stren original covers that. Quote
GaryD Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 WOW thats a great question! I've been fishing for more than 50 years and remember when ter local bait shop had only one line (Ande) in about 3 tests. Now there are so many choices it causes posts like this. Well, here's my 2 cents; BRAID - Suffix 832 - good knot strength - good abrasion resistance MONO - Maxma - low memory - good castability - supple FLORO - Yozuri Hybrid - low memory - good castability - good knot strength I also used Suffix Mono, Stren Braid and Suffix Floro but I like the above better. jbw252 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Sufix 832. Strong, holds knots well, and good multipurpose line. Sufix 832 was highly suggested here when I first started using braid, so it's what I usually spool up with. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted April 6, 2015 Super User Posted April 6, 2015 Sufix 832 Seaguar Senshi Sunline Sniper FC Quote
Super User Darren. Posted April 6, 2015 Super User Posted April 6, 2015 Braid + Leader on all my rigs. Spinning: 10b Yellow Power Pro 10-12 XPS Fluoro - or - 6-15 lb copoly (Yo-Zuri Hybrid or P-Line Floroclear) Casting: 20lb Yellow Power Pro Same leaders as above. Quote
