ib_of_the_damned Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 As the title says... I have heard of bending the hook point out to the left or right, and/or up. Does this help significantly? Also has anyone ever tried to use a straight shank flipping hook to rig a Mission Fish? I was just thinking with how the hook rides it may actually increase the hookup ratio. Thoughts? Thanks! Quote
Super User WRB Posted April 5, 2015 Super User Posted April 5, 2015 Go online and look at Mike Long 3:16 Mission Fish. Mike goes into detail how to rig and fish this lure. Tom Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted April 6, 2015 Super User Posted April 6, 2015 Yes, I bend the hook SLIGHTLY to one side or the other and then skin hook it. It does improve hook ups dramatically over the straight hook. 1 Quote
