Kuenro02 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Today I fshed a lake that has a lot of that sticky green slim the coats whatever lure touches the bottom. When the water is still cold like this I seem to have best luck throwing senkos but they get covered about every other cast. What are my other options for sluggish fish around this green mess? Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted April 5, 2015 Super User Posted April 5, 2015 Generally I will not let it set on bottom...but will keep bait moving slowly just off bottom....senko is perfect. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted April 5, 2015 Super User Posted April 5, 2015 Best lure I have used is the Riverside Top Gun. The Yum Swurm is very similar. Use weightless with a heavy hook to aid in casting and it will go through the slimiest of moss . Ive never tried it but an internal weight may work real well. Quote
riverbasser13 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 X2 0n the dropshot, it's not my favourite way to fish but it works. I started using it to solve a problem similar to yours and it helped me figure out how to catch bass out in some deeper water weed beds. Either trig or wacky rig your senko and your in business.
