I know any one color doesn't work all the time...but what is the colors that seem to get the bass to strike your lures and soft plastics most often while on  their beds ? In stained and clear water?

Since bass are not eating while on their beds, they are only defending their offspring, I don't think the color of the lure would make any difference. Except, that a light colored lure is easier to see by the angler. That lets you know when the fish has picked up the bait to remove it from the bed.

If you are sight fishing use whatever color contrasts the best against the bottom.  One of the lakes I fish has a lot of sandy bottom and I like to use a black lizard with a chartreuse tail because I can see it really well.  If it is a darker colored bottom, use white or any other bright color that contrasts the bottom.  Color does not matter like previously said because the fish are not trying to eat they are trying to defend.  You are just trying to tick them off.  In the case you cant actually see the fish and are more or less fan casting bedding areas, use plastic colors that usually work for that lake.  Senkos are a great lure to fish during the spawn when you cant actually see the fish and are just fan casting.  Green pumpkin, junebug, and dark colors work best where I fish.

IMO it depends on the location. Where I live I strictly use JuneBug Red, White Pearl, or Watermelon Red. If there's fish I'll usually get a bite. When I fish in WV with my grandpa, I use bright greens/whites or dark purples/whites.

I have been doing well with Red Shad this year, I kind of forgot about it for a few years, but it has been doing well for me in stained water, and I also love green pumpkin gold, Black and blue, junebug with red flake, green pumpkin, motor oil, black, and black with chart tail and blue tail....Kind of my go to for everything, then some in pearls, and smokes, chart and pink firetips, but I could live with blacks, green pumpkins, & watermelon and be good to go....I also like swirls of the above colors.
