Super User Goose52 Posted April 4, 2015 Super User Posted April 4, 2015 Welcome Ford A coincidence, I bought my first Ford two days ago! Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 4, 2015 Super User Posted April 4, 2015 Grew up a Chevy guy. Bought my first Ford in 1988 and loved it. Had close to 300,000 miles when I traded it in. Will not go back to Chevy's. Welcome to the Forum. Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted April 4, 2015 Super User Posted April 4, 2015 Ford man here New F-250 Super Duty coming next year or the year after, last truck I'm ever likely to buy and I'd have nothing else!! 1 Quote
mnbassman23 Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Welcome aboard! Bought a f-150 back in 09 and my wife has a 2014 focus. Mom has a 2014 Escape and my dad just got his 2015 f-150 2 days ago. Ford family through and through. Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted April 4, 2015 Super User Posted April 4, 2015 Sorry to stir it up some, and nothing against Ford because they build the best American truck I agree, but I've owned 3 Toyota trucks over 26 years and 400,000+ miles and have never had a mechanical failure.... They're pretty good. I've worked on nearly every make/model car for the last 20 years, so I speak from experience. Any-hoo welcome aboard Ford. Maybe you can sway me to an Aluminum F-150 if you build a full four door with a six foot bed AND a full size power rear window... Quote
jdl2425 Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Sweet. I own a 1988 Ranger and my family has a 1997 Taurus wagon with 230k miles on it and still running strong. You get your money's worth with Fords. However, when it comes to auto racing, I'm a Chevy guy. Quote
Robeng Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Thank you Ford. Welcome to the best, most informative, most read Bass forum. Thanks for your support. 1 Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted April 4, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted April 4, 2015 We're delighted to have Ford on board! I've been a Ford guy since I was born (my dad always owned a Mercury or Ford). I currently have an '99 F-250 and an '09 F-450. The F-250 has 250,000 miles on it and is still going strong. I think the move to an aluminum frame on the new Ford F-150 is simply brilliant. The weight savings increases mileage as well as towing capacity. In fact, that 6-cylinder eco-boost has more horsepower and torque than my V-10 F-250! Simply amazing! Here's more information about the new F-150. Here are my 2 trucks. Let's see pics of your Ford! C'mon! Quote
BassObsessed Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I have a ford work van, two mustangs, and my wife has a mustang. This one runs ok. 2 Quote

Super User RoLo Posted April 4, 2015 Super User Posted April 4, 2015 I've owned 7 ford trucks & a few ford cars in my life... Nobody makes a better truck, it's not even close! 96 Eddie Bauer 4x4 302 5 speed manual! Fastest and toughest truck I ever owned! I too have always been a Ford guy, not only on the road but also at the dragstrips Roger 1 Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted April 4, 2015 Super User Posted April 4, 2015 My one and only Ford truck was a 1973 F-750 with a 16' steel box and lift gate. Owned 69' Mustang mach 1 and 2003 Mustang GT, as well as 84' Lincoln mark, 92' mark, 94' mark and 97 mark. Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted April 4, 2015 Super User Posted April 4, 2015 Here is a pic of my Ecoboost, this was the day I bought it. Since then I have added a hard bed cover, the bed is sprayed, K&N air intake and a Borla Type 2 Exhaust. At the next oil change I will be added a tuner for some more fun. Would do more but the dealer is a little irritating when it comes to aftermarket parts. And you are right Glenn the power is amazing, having 420ft-lbs of torgue at 2400 rpm is outstanding. No other 1500 size truck has the low end torque power of this engine, and does it without sacrificing fuel mileage. Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted April 4, 2015 Super User Posted April 4, 2015 So does this mean that all the moderators get a F-150? Quote
