Fishing Line Alternative?

The has come to respool my reel for the new season, and I really do not feel like spending anymore money on expensive fishing tackle, including fishing line.

 

So today I had a brilliant idea while flossing my teeth... I took a tug at my floss and tried to break it. Pretty tough stuff. Low stretch too. It's white also, just like the spiderwire "invisi braid". Do you think it is practical to spool up my reel with dental floss? The spool of floss is about 100 yds so that should cover my spinning reel. Which brand do you recommend? Johnson and Johnson? Oral B? Having a tough time deciding.

P.S. I have Johnson and Johnson floss right now. Has anybody found a significant improvement in the Reach verison over the original?

If this is a serious inquiry - I'll say no - it's not practical.

Cinnamon is best bass seem to hold on a bit longer and the red color really make for some reaction strikes. Oral B seems to work best in clear water.

Floss works great, but you really need to use a leader.

I use the mint, obviously the bass love the flavor!

 

Dropshotting with Oral B.. Can't go wrong with mint, then, when you get some food in your teeth you just cut the end of your line off and use that! Practicality at it's best.

I'm not a big believer that bass are line shy. I catch just as many fish using white as I do red.

I have found that the Walmart brand works just as well. Who doesn't want to save $.12? No need to pay the big bucks for name brand floss. That is only for floss elitists!

I don't think it is very abrasive resistant.  Kind of like braid.  Also I can sometimes buy mono cheaper than floss.  Not sure if you would actually save money.  But if you go that route, I definitely would get flavored.  I know I like it better than plain.
