I am having an issue with a couple of my Terminator T1 spinnerbaits that I bought.  I have the colorado willow tandem ones with the titanium wire.  Catch some good fish on them but they seem to foul up so much on me.  Its a shame because they are very durable with the titanium wire and all.  Trying to figure out exactly what is causing them to foul up.  At first I thought the flex in the titanium blade was allowing the willow blade on the back to knock into the trailer hook causing it to foul up and not pull right.  I fixed that problem by putting on a smaller free floating trailer hook.  But now, it still fouls as soon as I cast and begin the retrieve I have to jerk it hard a couple of times to try to get the blades spinning right again.  Anyone fishing these spinnerbaits having this happen?  I guess the next step for me is to try switching out the willow blade with a one size smaller willow to see if that helps.  Any suggestions?

I fished them for a summer and ended up giving them all away. I didn't like the fact they can't be tuned and they had a nasty habit of whirrlygigging when ya cast them. Not a big deal on a spinning rod but a nightmare with a caster. Brian.

I've been using Terminatiors since they hit the market and haven't had the problem you're having with any of them, even with the Oklahoma blades. Maybe you're trailer hook is too big and catching the blades on your cast?

To echo WIGuide's response, I fish Terminators quite a bit and I don't have that issue with them.  I'm not a big fan of trailer hooks, but I doubt that is the cause of your issue.   No clue what is the cause of your issue.

Maybe try casting them "more carefully" without so much snap on the cast - I don't know.

Let me ask you a question, are you fishing them on a spinning rod and reel? I'm asking that question as a friend of mine only uses spinning tackle and he is the only one I've witnessed that had fouling issues. He would make a cast and as soon as the bait would hit the water he would flip the bail over and start reeling like mad but sometimes he wasn't fast enough and the bait would get wrapped up in the slack line and foul the blade or it would get the hook and the bait would come in sideways. The fix for it was to teach him to make side arm cast to get a lower trajectory so the bait wouldn't tumble as much. If your bait is fouling using casting gear it is probably because the bait is tumbling in air, this happens when you try to bomb a cast and sling it 20 feet high, you can get a good cast without doing that. The bait needs to be moving in a forward direction like a line drive instead of an arc like a rainbow, that will help.

I am using a baitcaster.  Problem has been occurring for me on side arm casts as well as overhead.  Wondering if the preformed wire on these couple is just off a lil bit and lets the blades hit against the hook.  I think i can fix by putting a smaller willow leaf on it but the big willow it comes with is one of the things I really like about the bait.  As stated above I also switched to a smaller trailer hook and that didnt seem to help.
