You put on a coat and let it dry, put on another coat and let it dry, put on a 3rd coat and let it dry. Then you are good to go for a month or so depending on how often you use the boat and how much it is outside. For in between cleanings wipe it with a wet cloth and dry it with a towel. I've been using it for the last couple of years. It is good stuff. Quote

What I'm looking for is something to spray on and wipe off after a day on the water just to get whatever collected on the hull, off. I can't just wash the thing off in the driveway anymore. Draught, water usage restrictions, fines and all that. So I have to clean her up in the boat port behind closed gates. I don't care for the wax/cleaners cuz I use the BTS instead of wax, but I don't want to strip that off with vinegar, lemon juice or the like. Guess I'll just continue with the wet towel as well. junyer357 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Best thing for ours we found is to wipe it down with a wet rag as soon as we pull it out of the water and strap it down for travel. If its summer there is usually plenty of clean water from the cooler when we pull the plug out. even if we have to use water from the livewells its still better and easier then than if we let it dry on the boat and then try to clean it. Hot Rod Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Most often I just wipe it down with a damp cloth when I pull it out of the water. But I also use McGuires Quick Clean Marine. Spray it on and wipe it off. It protects and shines very nice. And its o.k. if you get it on the rub rail or other black rubber/plastic unlike wax it wont mar plastics. A bottle of it last a long time to if you are judicious with it. Quote
