I am trying to pick one of these for my next spinning reel.  I am looking for pros and cons of both.

Thanks

I own a Ballistic EX. True the CI4+ is lighter, definitely not smoother though. That Ballistic is, for lack of a better word, connected. There is no gear feel, no play, no nothing. Basically you wind with no distractions. Reminds me a lot of the old Daiwa Certate in terms of feel. I am really impressed. The previous model Ballistics are really nice too and you might find a deal on one of them with a little shopping. Cabelas had them for $99 for awhile.

Another option, just to throw it out there if you are looking for the light weight of the CI4+ is the Okuma RTX. I won one, it hasn't seen the water yet but feels really nice in hand and is like 6 oz give or take. Just another option...

A ci4 is godlike when it comes to that range of spinners to me ... Only surpassed by some of the Japanese counterparts

I absolutely love my 1000 ci4+. The most expensive spinning reel I've purchased to date but definitely worth its retail price, imo.

Never owned a daiwa reel.

Haven't fished the Daiwa but I can't imagine it's better than the Ci4. Ci4 is one sweet reel!

TT did a review on the ballistic recently. Got good marks from their pickiest editor. I think the ballistic looks better but the Ci4+ has x ship.
