archman Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I love the 2 and 3 inch Easy Shiners. However I get one fish out of them and less sometimes if the collar tears it when changing. Is there another swim bait with the same profile that is more durable? Quote
fishinphilly Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 i like the netbait spanky swimbait, it has a great action but i think there smallest size is 3 1/2in Quote
Joe Schmuckatelli Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Look at the Havoc grass pigs they are cheaper and possibly a more durable option. They are a bit longer then the keitechs, so I just pinch them to get the desired size. 1 Quote

Super User smalljaw67 Posted March 30, 2015 Super User Posted March 30, 2015 If you used the 4" there are several that are very close, the Strike King KVD swim N shiner, and the Bass Assassin Elite Shiner but at 3" I don't know of any. Quote
Super User webertime Posted March 30, 2015 Super User Posted March 30, 2015 Mister Twister Sassy Shads or Cabelas Hoochie Coochie (something like that). 1 Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted March 30, 2015 Super User Posted March 30, 2015 I wouldn't trade my Keitechs for the world. I do like the Havoc Beat Shad or the Strike King Swim-n-shiner as an alternative however at slow speeds there is a considerable difference. 2 Quote
PersicoTrotaVA Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I like my Keitechs. It's like Senkos, they are soft, they tear, but they catch fish. 1 Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I've always stuck with the Swing Impact (Fat usually). Anyone found a distinct difference or better results between the Impact and Easy Shiner? Quote
OK Bass Hunter Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I would bite the bullet price wise on the Easy Shiner. I haven't found anything that would come close to it, production wise. 1 Quote
archman Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 I just put the jig head in from the head so the hook is exposed on top. I think I will bite the bullet. I haven't found anything close. I love the tail action on the slow retrieve. Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted April 2, 2015 Super User Posted April 2, 2015 Have been using Keitech's now for a few years. I fish the swing impacts the most in the 3-4" size but also have the easy shiners. As for durability, it costs a bit more then regular jigheads, but the Kietech tungsten jigheads do a great job holding the baits on and don't seem to tear the body of the bait apart like some regular jigheads. Siebert Outdoors Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Use super glue gel or mend it. Either one of those will make that bait last a lot longer. Quote
