Chartreuse shad homemade bladed jig back in January. First cold water bass was on a custom painted 110 KO jerkbait.

I think it is awesome how we almost all used a different bait or technique to catch the first fish of the year.

 

There were a few jerkbaits, jigs and Yamamoto Senkos listed but as a whole it is a wide variety.

Mine was a Megabass FX 110 in sexy shad.  My 6 year old son just got his on a sexy shad 1/4oz spinnerbait.

Can't yet - still have ice. Last year it was a pretty big fish, over 4 on a jika rig Rage Craw.

Wont know until late June (season opens 4th saturday) for where I live unless accidental catch when I fish for Pike and Perch.  However I am going to Florida for the first time in April so I possibly I can report a PB on this thread then.  :eyebrows:
