Thought it would make a sweet custom rod handles some stuff is very pricy($125) but for the most part it's not bad ($15) for the smaller blanks that I think would work for a rod handle. Delaware Valley Tackle Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Alternative grip materials is one of the most custom parts of rod building. I'd check the weight before going all in. Also be sure the bore is big enough for what ever rod you'll put it on. I'd have it bored to accept hard foam arbors and them ream to fit. That will get good adhesion and trim some weight as well. According to their Facebook page they have different size blanks for turning cups or bowls so I'm sure they have something that will work for rods.
