Hello everyone, i have a question about the gear ratio on the ci4+. What ratio do you think would be better to get, 6.2:1 or 7.6:1. Also what ratio is good with what baits/lures?

Thanks

The lower gear for moving baits and the higher gear for bottom contact. Either would be fine for bottom contact but the popular opinion is that a higher gear ratio is best for bottom contact.

It really depends on how you fish, and your own individual personality. If you have a hard time slowing yourself down, I'd suggest getting a the 6.2 for moving baits. Otherwise I use a 7.1:1 for pretty much everything. I find it easier to slow down than to speed up. I tend to go against the grain though.

Thank you for answering.

If you go the high speed ratio (or even if you dont) you could always get the longer 96mm handle from the Metanium XG.  A little longer handle will get you a bit more leverage/power and its only $13.
