bassmaster8100 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Ok this is kind of embarrassing but I just bought a 2007 Ranger Z20 and this trailer is different than any I've used before. How do I release it from the ball of the truck? Quote
gunsmoke Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 If it's like mine there is a flat thumb piece you must slide over first. No there is no knob to lift. Hope this helps. Quote

Krappiehog Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 No shame sir, we all gotta learn it some how! Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 26, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 26, 2015 1. Check to see if there's a pin (about the size of a wooden dowel) inserted near the bottom of the ball, on the side closest to the boat. Pull that pin out if it's there (you may have to remove a cotter pin first). Sometimes a trailer lock is inserted there in lieu of the pin. 2. Slide the button, AND THEN lift the "lid" while holding the button to the side. You should then be able to crank the trailer off the ball using the attached trailer jack. Hope that helps! Quote
bassmaster8100 Posted March 26, 2015 Author Posted March 26, 2015 Thanks for the replies! It has the thumb piece that you slide, popped right up when I tried it Quote
Crappiebasser Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 By the way, congrats on the new boat. Z20s are nice rides. Quote
BassnChris Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Took me a few times of un-hitching my boat to learn how to operate the doo-hickey. Now....don't even have to think about it anymore! BTW.......never any shame in asking about something you do not know about.......it is when you DON'T ask that greatly increase the likelyhood of problems arising! Quote

What Glenn said. When I first looked at a Ranger trailer I got confused. Few minutes of messing around and I had it figured. Much different than what I have on my saltwater boat. Quote
