collards Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Yum discontinued the F2 dingers last year and came out with a new one in a new package. They are now dirt cheap (2.89 at another site etc.). Doesn't anybody know why? I called yum and all they would say was a new bait & new package. Lurenet is pushing these too at 2.99. I know about the old dingers, but I want to know if anyone tried these new ones. I bought 8 packs, but the ponds are frozen so I can't test these. Quote
DocNsanE Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 yeah I was a big fan of the F2 dingers as well, wondering if these new baits will be as good. Hopefully they won't disappoint! Quote
KyAngler_1120 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Don't know about the new baits, but my local walmart has the F2's on something like a closeout. Last night my fiancee picked up all they had in a bin for $ .50 per pack....All I can say is a taught her well. 5 Quote
Joedodge Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I love the f2 dingers I had not seen the new dingers. I hope they didn't change much Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 25, 2015 Super User Posted March 25, 2015 I emailed them a while back to inquire about the 7" model and was told that they had discontinued it. Very Sad. Would love to see the larger bait make a come back along with the Fork Tail model. A-Jay Quote
Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted March 25, 2015 Super User Posted March 25, 2015 im going to check my local wal marts. Yum dingers are my favorite !! Quote
riverbasser13 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I'm big fan of the 4" yum dingers, hopefully the new ones won't be much different. I hate it when a good thing gets changed just for marketing. Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted March 26, 2015 Super User Posted March 26, 2015 Yum dingers are the bomb! Hopefully nothing drastic happened to their "recipe" because if so I'm gonna have to hightail to Wally World. 1 Quote
kingmotorboat Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 I've been using 5 inch and no f2 on package. So if I'm using the new formula then I must say they work great. Minus the fact I have to change the worm every fish Quote
Joedodge Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Why are you changing te worm every fish? They used to be pretty durable. Are they still moist I. The bag with a form of scent? Quote

Minus the fact I have to change the worm every fish d**n doesn't sound too good... one of the reasons I love the F2 Dingers was they caught as many fish as senkos (for me) but they I could catch more fish per worm on a dinger 1 Quote

Scent is still there. There moist but maybe it's how aggressive they are down here I don't know I just know I had to change worms after my 4 pound 3 pound and after every 1 pounder Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted March 26, 2015 Super User Posted March 26, 2015 I haven't been able to use them yet, but they seem pretty much identical other than you get less per pack than you used to be able to. They seem to feel just like the old ones and don't feel any softer, so I would guess the durability will be the same. Fingers crossed that they will be. I might have to go take a closer look tonight when I get home. Would love to see the larger bait make a come back along with the Fork Tail model. They don't have a fork tail model, but they do have a Thumpin' Dinger that has a u tail on the end. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted March 26, 2015 Super User Posted March 26, 2015 @$2.99 a pack seems like a great deal to me, I've seen them, haven't used them, but they appear to be of high Quailty. They lower the price to compete, folks complain, they raise the price, folks complain.. All plastic, with the exception of Z-man, tears easily... Geez.. All stick baits work! Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 26, 2015 Super User Posted March 26, 2015 I recall many squawking when LFP was discontinued for the F2 scent. Seems like much of the same. If they don't work, you can always go back to the original. We know they work! Quote

If they don't work, you can always go back to the original. We know they work! I was one of the squawkers................but it was all for not, the F2's worked just fine. The new ones might be the best yet...$2.99 a bag and no scent making them fully ready for a dab of megastrike. I have a healthy stock of Havoc Flat Dawgs, but will be mixing in some of the new YUM products. They scratch me right where I itch..............in the wallet. 1 Quote
Kevin22 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Dingers are great baits! I caught many bass on the fork tail dinger! Quote

hoosierbass07 Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Yep, Dingers are the bomb! If I had to use only one lure the rest of my life it would be a five inch Texas Rigged Yum-Dinger in Watermelon Seed. Fun fun fun! Quote
Joedodge Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Was just in a local shop got some of the f2 dingers on clearance. And a pack of the new dingers. There is no difference same great product. Buy with confidence boys! Quote
Stingray23 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I bought a pack of the F2 dingers and the new dingers last night. The difference is the amount you get in the bag now. They put less in the new ones. Quote
Joedodge Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Really? I always remember either 8 or 12 packs depending were I bought them. Quote
Kevin22 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Yum dinger 5"- 8ct. Yum f2 dinger 5"- 12ct. Quote
Joedodge Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Man that's so weird I've got f2 8 count bags in the garage. Either way there still the same and a great bait Quote
