Super User retiredbosn Posted March 25, 2015 Super User Posted March 25, 2015 Another family business bites the dust. They are an endangered species for sure, very close to extinction Quote
Krappiehog Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 I was saddened by the news.... I live just 6 miles from the plant, I know some of the folks, I have seen that place grow, same with ranger and Legend. I seen legend from its start, now on there 3 building and a nice place. Now hearing this after hear Ranger sell out again... I am glad they are not moving for now, I hope it stays that way, but I sure hope BCB doesn't change and go down the tubes like Rager did in customer service. Ranger used to be so nice, now when you call them they are so rude. I hate that. But times change nothing stays the same forever.... I wish them all the best of luck, I hope BPS does great things with ranger and I hope this new venture for BCB is a wonderful thing I the end! Quote

Krappiehog Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I live here in there about 6 miles from the the plant... Yes! Rick is signed in to a long term deal. Now don't know all the details, but my next new boat was to be a cat as I am BCB guy. So I have been digging deep! It sounds as not much has or is to change, rick will still see things as he has run it as normal. That has been my understanding so far. If I get anything different I will pass it along. I know a few folks at BCB including Rick, so I am trying to get info before I invest in a product after this change. As long as Rick is around I don't expect anything different from them. Only time will us. Quote

Would hope they would retain their integrity and continue to produce an excellent product which looks like will continue into the future. Now you go and work with that little boy so he can play baseball for Arkansas one day! Or with a proven winner, LSU!!!! Quote
BCB Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 It will be one year soon and things at Bass Cat remain the same. The tempos turned up some and the same staff is all there. New hires that came in are local to replace some of the family and natural turnover. There has been and will be no new staff from the partner company. Thing here are status quo, as was other than busier. The only staff addition has been Jason Bragg to National Sales Manager as Rick was filling the role of handling field reps. Cody Blair (CPA) is the in house Controller and was hired to replace Dee in her exit. Rick remains for many years in his agreement to operate the company and move things up as the goal is to grow. Lisa Jones was brought in about 6 months ago to manage Parts, Shipping and Service, upon Zach's decision to exit. She continues to grow while her staff does also. Allan, Richard and Mike handle the phones there. Stuart remains to be the Production Manager, Jason Brewer is still the in house BCB Sales Coordinator. Ivan Williams continues to be the Yar-Craft Brand Manager after it was puchased in 2011, with production starting in 2012. He also handles BCB house accounts in KY, OK, AR, MO and the Northern/ Midwest territory. Yes, we are now one year in and things remain the same, just busier. BCB Quote
