Hey everybody,

I try to research as much as I can on my own. But I don't have the time to do this much research at the moment because of work.

Anyways, Dicks's Sporting Goods has a pretty dang good sale right now: Buy one Rod, get one 50% off. Loomis and St. Croix are excluded (Of Course). Im not necessarily in the market for two rods, as I really just need a new flippin' stick. But two is better then one.

I'm a diehard Croix guy so I'm really not sure what else I'd really like. Played around with the Abu Veritas but not totally in love with them.

I'd like some suggestions on a good mid range ($100+) brand of rods. Duckett, Abu, Shimano, etc...?

Thanks,

Luke

I have two Veritas and recommend them to everyone who asks.

hmg, veritas, tatula, *** black, phenix maxim, etc...

it's been said before but in that price range there are a lot of great offerings. Bring your reel, slap it on some rods, and see how they feel.

^ this.

At dicks - you could save some major coin and check out the field and stream technology spec rods. You could get easily get both rods for $100 on that deal.
