Bigchunk Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I like the lil johns not sure if its technically a squarbill, just trying to find some other good tight wobblers. Thanks, theres still ice here if you cant tell....... Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 24, 2015 Global Moderator Posted March 24, 2015 I'm thinking the new Luck E Strike flatsided squarebill (KJ look alike), is going to be a winner early in the year. The Little John is another really good one. The Bandit Flat Maxx used to be a good one but not sure they still make them. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 24, 2015 Super User Posted March 24, 2015 6th Sense Crush Flat 75X Square bill Crank bait. A-Jay Quote

Super User Master Bait'r Posted March 24, 2015 Super User Posted March 24, 2015 It's not a traditional SB but I like throwing the Supernatos now that I put cable trailer trebles on them. They're slower but they're just more fun for me. You can do a lot of different things with them that you can't do w a hard floating SB. If I like the new S Crank half as much as I think I will though, it'll probably take the "fav" crown once the ice clears. Quote
A KGB Operative Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I was getting them on the smaller kvd squarebill in bluegill last year. Quote
PersicoTrotaVA Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 KVD 1.0 Tennessee Shad. Quick jerk once it hits the water to get it going and then a slow crank just to get it to wobble through the water column. On a glass rod you can feel a fish suck it in, its awesome! Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted March 24, 2015 Super User Posted March 24, 2015 Rapala DT Flat 3 and 7 have been great and this season I'm going to give the Bagley Rattlin' Kill'r B2 a shot as they look like they are going to be pretty awesome. Quote
RanndomUndead Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Sexy shad and bluegill 1.5 strike kings work wonders Quote
Comfortably Numb Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I have said it many times. Baker Lure squarebills suspend and work really well in the spring. Dont read the reviews as they had a bad batch that the manufacturer forgot to put the bb's in LOL. Quote
sprint61 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Norman Fat Boy (redear pattern) I think you and I are the only ones who talk about this lure here. Imo best squarebill on the market. 1 Quote

Hogsticker Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Evolve makes a really nice, affordable square bill that Im hoping will produce early spring. Quote

Chalk me up to that too, I love the little Johns, they cast well, retrieve well, and have good components, you really can't ask for more than that except a fish on the end of your line 1 Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted March 25, 2015 Super User Posted March 25, 2015 KVD 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 Squarebill Quote
Djf3864 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I like the Storm Arashi SB as well as the SK KVD line of SB's. Quote
BobbyRaeAllen Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 strike king bitsy minnow... the only squarebill I own hehe ^^^+1 on that! I love those lil dudes. I fish mine on an ultralight with 6lb mono and a split shot 12 inches in front of it. Cant cast it otherwise haha I've had days on the Appomattox where Ive done a "slam" and never untied my bitsy minnow. Chain pickerel, bluegill, bass, knothead, crappie, and red ear. Now for actual lake fishing, I like my KVD 2.5 in just regular shad color. Great bait to have confidence in. 1 Quote

The Fat Boy doesn't seem to get a lot of live here, does it? The Fat Boy has been my favorite squarebill since its introduction. I use it along with Bandit SBs, Strike King 1.5s and H2O Express SBs. They all work well at certain times. Tom Quote
