I don't see anything that sets them apart from similarly priced rods. The *** has better guides for one. The only way to tell for sure is to fish one and see what you think, but not everyone has a budget for a lot of experimenting.

Saw these at the Fred Hall Show, look like the low end Daiwa rods. I was dissappointed that they didn't have their higher end rods.

Well that's disappointing. Saw an ad for these a few months back and have been interested. I think I'll pass though.

No Volkeys,no Corzzas, just these. I talked to a Rep and he said that it was a last minute thing to bring these rods only. I told him I think you guys made a mistake not bringing your higher end rods out as a lot of people were looking forward to having their rods in the US. It's on them. I have a 2 piece Basspara that I keep in my car just in case, and it looks 3 times better than that rod, even though its a less expensive rod . I think they cheapens the look of the rod for the US market. IMHO, big mistake!

I think we should all pump the brakes a bit and wait to see what happens in the near future with Major Craft in the States. Nobody wants them to bring the good stuff more than this guy.

I thought originally they were to bring over 2 lines of rods.  I don't remember the name of the other line but it wasn't the Volkey or Corzza or any other name I recognized.

I think you mean the MS-X Series, their new high-end rod series. There was an article from ICast in August of 2013 about them coming here,so it's not like they made a last minute decision to show up to the party. Don't get me wrong,I would love to see an alternative to Megabass rods, but the Japanese Rod companies continue to thumb their noses at the US market.

I have a Volkey and recently got an MS-X..  they crap all over these nanoace rods in terms of looks and attention to detail. But on the other hand, I can understand why they didn't bring over the other line of rods, because whenever you sell JDM items in the US the price goes up ALOT. I read that the MS-X will be a $500 rod if they sold it here. Do you think the would sell a lot considering the options at that price point? Proven rods like NRXs, Megabass, etc..  I do think they should have separated themselves a little in the looks department from the other 100 dollar rods. Then once they get a foothold in the market here then bring the other lines over gradually.

If they would have started out with the Volkey, and Corkish lines it would have made a bigger impact as these series are reasonably priced, and offer a quality look and finish. As for being overpriced, look no further than the NRX Series rods. You get better components on rods less than 1/2 their price. Sort of like buying a Ferrari with hub caps! To appeal to the masses, you need quality at a good price point. Take *** as an example. Good quality, variety, nice fit and finish, a good product for a good price. The market's out there, but you have to have a good product, or it's no sale!

Anybody have any info on the removable handle? Like pic's and such. Handle could be a sell to those with short rod lockers. But not finding much info out there on them.

I answered an add for a GLoomis rod. The guy had a Majorcraft Day's Model DS-64 ML also. I liked the feel of it so well I bought. Will be trying it out in the Quetico canoe wilderness in August comparing it to my Dobyn Extreme DX702SF.

What info are you wanting? The main part of the rod connects to the bottom inside the handle. This is a Volkey.

Thanks, That works. Just wanted a better clue on how it was made and where they connected the pieces together.

How tight is the fit?

Once it's together you'd have no idea it was two different pieces. It fits together pretty dang tight.

From MC, FYI.

Now we’re planning to bring some Japanese models.  Of course bait finesse rods also.  But we can’t say now which model we bring and it takes time.  Pls wait for a while.

We have NANOACE for US market.  There is a bait finesse model also.  If you can try the rod...  Sorry we have not distributed it in all state of US yet...  The MSRP is US$109.99.  It’s affordable price with Fuji guides & reel seat.  We will ask Tackle Warehouse selling bait finesse model also.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Hamano

I was going to order a couple of rods online, maybe now I'll wait until they bring them over to see what rods they offer. I did order a Palms Molla 65ML just to see how it feels. The fit and finish is top notch, and the rod is super light. I also like the fact that most JDM rods have a fore grip as I lime to hold the rod above the reel.

I have two of theses rods. The Nanoace Casting Rod 7'3" Med Hvy Frog I bought as a back up frog rod and I love it. From frogs, football jigs and c-rigs this thing rocks. I also have the 7'0" Med spinning for spybaits and it casts like a dream. No complaints here.
