Super User Redlinerobert Posted March 23, 2015 Super User Posted March 23, 2015 To buy this boat and do a full back to factory spec restoration. How cool would that be? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ranger-bass-boat-/191541410380?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c98c1fa4c Quote
martintheduck Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Good luck find all the parts for that. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted March 23, 2015 Super User Posted March 23, 2015 Hey, if that's what "floats your boat" (pun intended), go for it. You have my blessing. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted March 23, 2015 Super User Posted March 23, 2015 That would be pretty cool! $1500 seems a little steep for it's current, but then again I think the whole thing would be the labor of love so if that's what you're set on then go for it! Quote

Super User WIGuide Posted March 23, 2015 Super User Posted March 23, 2015 How can you put a price on "love"? Haha I don't know that you can, but I'm thinking he can get it for a better price. Then again I'm going on boat prices around here. Paying what it's worth in it's current condition will keep that total down a little. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted March 23, 2015 Super User Posted March 23, 2015 Don't think it would be very fun to fish out of, but the resto would be cool. Jeff Quote

Super User Hi Salenity Posted March 24, 2015 Super User Posted March 24, 2015 Im not seeing it? Maybe I need pics of one restored? If you feel like restoring something find a Panhead. Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted March 24, 2015 Super User Posted March 24, 2015 I say go for it. Keep it authentic where you want to and hi-tech it in other areas (like maybe newer motor and electronics) It is your restoration - restore it to better than new if you want to. A couple of years ago in Bassmaster there was an article about Alex Langer (yeah, that Alex Langer, the inventor of the flying lure) and how he has a collection of old/antique/historically significant bass boats. A cool collection. He has a boat that was used in the first Bassmaster Classic, as well as a couple of other Classic boats. Boys and their toys - again, I say go for it. Quote
