Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted March 22, 2015 Super User Posted March 22, 2015 I just asked my six year old what a yellow fruit that grows on a tree is called. Child looks me dead in the eye and says, "An orange." How the hell is an orange yellow. It's named after a color. And yes I have seen oranges which are a yellowish shade before. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted March 22, 2015 Super User Posted March 22, 2015 Well, what is the answer, a grapefruit, a banana,? But, in this case, it doesn't appear that the orange has fallen very far from the tree. 7 Quote

Kevin22 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Lemon? Banana? Apple? Whats the point of this thread other than calling your child a fool in public? Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted March 22, 2015 Super User Posted March 22, 2015 Pears, peaches, pineapples. Quote
Matthew2000 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Lemon? Banana? Apple? Whats the point of this thread other than calling your child a fool in public? What is the point of asking what the point of this thread is ? 1 Quote
Matthew2000 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Pears, peaches, pineapples. I think pineapples actually grow as 1 up from a ground plant thing. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted March 22, 2015 Super User Posted March 22, 2015 The bananas at Walmart are green I'm afraid to say... 1 Quote
Kevin22 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Your walmart has a banana tree? COOL! Wish mine had that! Getting tired of picking the apples in there, need some variety! Aren't lemons green also, before ripening? Quote
Kevin22 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I think pineapples actually grow as 1 up from a ground plant thing. That sounds right, and don't they grow upside down (pointing to the sky)? Quote
Big C Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 The bananas at Walmart are green I'm afraid to say... Bananas aren't the only thing that's green at Wal-Mart. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted March 22, 2015 Super User Posted March 22, 2015 No tree inside walmart, but a employee ensured me the green bananas came from a tree, although I cannot say... They also have green (red delicious) apples,. We ( guys in my squadron) knocked some coconut's out of a tree in Puerto Rico and drank the milk.. We soon were running for the John.. This was way before it was vogue to drink coconut milk to elicit a bowel movement.. That's all I got on fruits fellas! Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted March 22, 2015 Author Super User Posted March 22, 2015 A banana was the answer. Apparently I forgot to add that. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted March 22, 2015 Author Super User Posted March 22, 2015 Lemon? Banana? Apple? Whats the point of this thread other than calling your child a fool in public? This fool is a saying. It has nothing to do with negatively calling someone foolish or making fun of them in a hateful way. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted March 22, 2015 Super User Posted March 22, 2015 Maybe the kid is colorblind... Best answer yet Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted March 22, 2015 Super User Posted March 22, 2015 I think pineapples actually grow as 1 up from a ground plant thing. I think you're correct. One pineapple per plant. Does that make them not a fruit? Quote
aceman387 Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I see that most of us are still battling frozen water. Quote

Super User Sam Posted March 23, 2015 Super User Posted March 23, 2015 Great post and follow ups. Love it when Raider opens his heart to us about what is going on in his life. if my grandson had given me the answer Raider received I would have been on the floor laughing my fanny off. Quote
VolFan Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Maybe Raider's the one that taught her colors... Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted March 24, 2015 Super User Posted March 24, 2015 Lemon? Banana? Apple? Whats the point of this thread other than calling your child a fool in public? Now now, go easy on Raider. Most of his posts have no point. He posts on here because he loves us, or because it's the only place he can get people to interact with him. I post, you decide. 1 Quote
