Weld's Largemouth Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 First fish cast of 2015 Went out today, sunny w/ some clouds, low 40s to see if I could get a bite. We had just gotten 6 inches of snow on the first day of spring, and the snow was melting very fast. Most of the lakes are still frozen but this one surprisingly was not. I went through all of my pre spawn lures, had a swipe at a spinnerbait and a few followers on a jerkbait. They were very sluggish and weren't committed at all I really hope the bass start eating and that we don't get any more snow -Welds Quote

Khan of the Res Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 pre spawn = big juicy baits. Minnows, shiners, shads, nightcrawlers, marshmallows, corn, bacon, spam, hell even some powerbait. These fish have been freezing and starving so you gotta give um something tasty. Drop shot ftw. Quote
