So I recently just bought a spool of 12lb Vicious Fluorocarbon at clearance pricing. I will primarily be using it for cranks and traps. Has anybody used this line before and how is it?

I use it, no problem at all for me.  You should be good, make sure you dont burn your line when tying the knot, and roll.

Not gonna lie, I barely if ever fully bash a product but the regular vicious Fluoro was THE worst line if I have ever used...large diameter compared to other line and almost unmanageable even with line conditioners...

The pro elite is supposed to be better. I've used their mono and braid with no issue but would never recommend their low priced fluoro.

I had 8# on a spinning reel a while back. It was fine but I pretty much use braid on all my reels now

I have tried a lot of fluoros, and viscous was one of the stiffest, highest memory lines.  Had a few NASTY backlashes with it, and decided to try something else.  Never tried it again.

I am sorry to say but that line is the worst stuff I have ever used. It is so stiff I couldn't cast it and trying to tie a knot was a pain. It is almost like trying to fish with bailing wire

The 12lb is one of my favorite finesse jig lines. It doesn't have the high memory that the line does once you go to 15lb or higher. It's very strong and should suit you just fine for cranks and traps.
