Infidel. Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I don't know why there aren't more crappie patterns out there but I took a Peal White 3/4 oz Fat Free Shad and turned it into this. Not the greatest but it got the job done. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted July 29, 2008 Super User Posted July 29, 2008 What are you talking about all the lures I try to paint with my airbrush turn out crappy? Allen Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted July 29, 2008 Super User Posted July 29, 2008 That's a crappie paint job. Quote
BIG M Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 A realistic crappie pattern is a tough 1 to paint. I like the look of your bait, very nice mods on that one. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted July 29, 2008 Super User Posted July 29, 2008 I like the paint job. Matches our crappie around here almost perfect. Quote
Infidel. Posted July 29, 2008 Author Posted July 29, 2008 Thanks guys. I don't have an airbrush or anything, just a permanent marker and a few cans of spray paint. I actually did a similar thing to a black and silver DT-16. I was out with a buddy not catching much and then I took a sharpie to the crank, marked it up, and stuck a three pounder on the very next cast Quote
sportyguy66 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I tried painting a Crappie once they are pretty hard to figure out Quote
