My world is remains way frozen and will be for a while.

However, If I had open water, on Friday, I'd be on it. (I don't ice fish).

Friday morning is going to be pretty darned special with three celestial events….a super moon, the Spring equinox and a near-total solar eclipse all happening at the same time.

Clearly not a guarantee of anything but who knows - could be the factor that gets a few Big Girls in an eating mood.

You could always take a chain saw & open up a small area to cast into from shore.  :eyebrows:

Oh my, it's Armageddon!! Seriously though, I believe the math indicates a once in 10,000 year event.. Pretty Cool! I was trying to see the Northern Lights ( hardly a chance ) but I still look!

The Northern Lights happen up here enough that when the skies clear, we get a good show.

The word is tonight may present another opportunity - we'll be looking up while we're out in the back forty with the dogs.

Some of my worst days fishing have been on special event days!!!!!!!!!! :eyebrows:  The bass could care less, as long as there is food and water.

It's snowing tonight. I think the ice is still solid I haven't looked.

I'm so over winter.

I wish I could find the mouri fishing charts to go by again.

They were in outdoor life when I used them to fish by. Trust me they work. You need to adjust the time to where we live.

I fished yesterday afternoon and wore my wrist out.  Was catching them on consecutive casts. Suspending jerkbait and topwater worked the best. I would reel one in and a school of them would swim with the one hooked, at times. Oddly enough I didn't get a single bite on any soft plastics I threw. The lunar chart had Thurs and Fri as the best days..
