So I'm looking for a rod to pair with my ci4+. I'd like it to have a soft tip with either a fast or extra fast action. This rod will be used for drop shoting, light lipless cranks.

Do any of you guys own the *** *** ml action spinning rod. From my experience the *** *** rods are extremely stiff. There is no give in the tip of the rod at all. Was wondering if the *** was any different.

I've also interested in either the avid x. It the new zodias both would be a ml action rod. Thanks for any info.

I haven't used any of the *** products so I can't comment on them. I haven't had the chance to use the AvidX yet either, however the action would be very similar as my ML/XF LTB dropshot rod which I absolutely love!! Really nice soft tip but doesn't feel like a limp noodle in the hand. I would definitely check it out.

I have two Avid ML/XF spinning rods, and they're as you describe. Avid X is the same SCIII bank.
