All private boat launching will be closed at Diamond Valley Lake due to low water at the luanch ramp April 15. .Shore fishing and rental boats should be availble if the lake conditions are safe.

This is due to the drought conditions in SoCal, our rainy season is over until next November! It isn't looking good for all our SoCal lakes at this time being below 50% pool levels.

Pray for rain!

Lets hope we get some tropical weather systems this summer and have a really good fall rain which would be both good and bad....good to fill up the lakes, bad because most around here have no clue how to drive in the rain.  But I did hear that on the News this afternoon that DVL was going to be shut down to private boats, just wondering what lake will be next.

Casitas is a real problem, they are at the last launch ramp now, another 10 vertical feet and the original ramp at the end of arrow island will need to be reconstructed, not good.

Castaic has a long ramp, it goes to 2 lanes for another 100 vertical feet.

Cachuma has used steel army surplus road beds in the past when it get too low for a luanch ramp.

Pyramid can use the old highway, no problem.

Piru gets to be a problem, the old single lane ramp is availble, parking?

My lake (Sutherland) is two feet lower than it was in October when it closed for 2014.  Sad prospects without rain! Have not been any boats launched in two years.

isn't Sutherland just a puddle now? I think in the UT San Diego newspaper it said Sutherland was at like 8% of the lake had water or something on that line. My home lake is hodges, and seems like its a few feet higher than it was over the summer, bite seems to be picking up but its still very rough if you don't know how that lake works
