The_Natural Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 do you guys who tie your own jigs w/ rubber skirts ever have a problem w/ the rubber melting? Why would the rubber melt? You don't tie your skirt on while the lead is hot. Anyway...rubber is making a comeback, particularly the silicone/rubber combo so you get the best of both worlds like the booyah a-jig and pigskin jig. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted July 21, 2008 Super User Posted July 21, 2008 It doesn't melt but after a few years it will rot. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted July 23, 2008 Super User Posted July 23, 2008 I rarely use the rubber because it is such a PITA! It never seperates like when you cut it so I end up spending 45 minutes seperating strands by hand. Allen Quote
aggiebassin Posted July 25, 2008 Author Posted July 25, 2008 i just meant like melting in your tackle box. but i guess not so that answers my question Quote
