Hey,

I am needing to get a new reel primarily for only Carolina and Alabama Rigs.  I am thinking about getting a Lews probally the $100 version, but am open to options.  What are you guy's opinion on a good reel for under $140?

Lews and Tatula were my two top choices when I was shopping around not too long ago. I think you can't go wrong with either of these.

Any quality, standard 200 size reel should handle A-rigs well enough. If you want a dedicated reel just for that a swimbait reel like the Curado 300E would be a nice addition or even a Calcutta. The other brands have similar offerings as well.

I use a lews BB2 for my a rigs and swimbaits, I think they can be had on that auction website for around the price you mentioned.

I use an older Shimano Calcutta TEGT filled with 65 lb braid for throwing A-Rigs.   The same reel & line that I use for throwing frogs.  It works ok.   Should someday I get some spare money, I'm looking at a Curado 300E, one, for a little more line capacity and two, it would be a little lighter.  Overall, I'm happy with how the TEGT performs.

I like the Calcutta 200B for the heavier umbrella rigs. For a Carolina rig or lighter rigs, any low pro will do.

These are great reels and all but I dont have that much money I wanting to pay around $100 ideal and possibly $120.

What A-Rigs you plan on throwing ? Some are much heavier than others

Can get a 5.1 curado 200i for 142 on eBay ... I use 200 size reels for a rigs and lighter swimbaits ... And even spoiled with 20lb flouro I still have plenty of line to cast ... For heavier SWIMBAITS I am using a 300e .. that's overkill for a rigs and carolina imo ... But I love the 200i

I want a low profile but I do not know if it can hold enough line that is my main concern

Will this have enough for 20-30 pound test fluorocarbon

I really like the Revo Winch may not be in your price range but you can be casting big o A rig and it feels like your reeling in maybe a 1/4oz spinnerbait.
