corn-on-the-rob Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I have not personally but have only heard good things. Quote
ChrisWi Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 No. No one. Go check out the reviews on tackle warehouse, its supposed to be a great line. Quote
BasserJim Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I use the Sunline Sniper FC as a leader, and couldn't be happier. Can't comment on it as a "full spool", as I don't use it like that, always as a leader on braid. 1 Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted March 16, 2015 Super User Posted March 16, 2015 I don't use straight FC but I like sniper for my leaders. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted March 16, 2015 Super User Posted March 16, 2015 Yes, it's good line. Even better with a Mustad hook tied on the end of it. 2 Quote
FlipSide Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Yes its great line, used the same spool all last season on my dropshot rod, only broke one off, and it was more my fault than the lines fault. Quote
MidTNKayakAngler Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I've been using Sunline FC Sniper in 10, 12, 14, and 16lb test on 8 different rods since last November (4months) and I'm very happy with it. I was using braid and having some issues after 10 years with the same brand braid, and decided to go with something completely different and that was FC and Sunline Sniper. It's not brittle, doesn't have much memory, strength, and abrasion resistance seems to be right on par. I only use bait casting gear, so I cannot comment on spinning gear, but my wife uses it on 4 or so spinning reels and she hasn't said anything negative. Quote
Super User Montanaro Posted March 16, 2015 Super User Posted March 16, 2015 It's a little stretchy and has some memory to it. It's not a top of the line fluoro but certainly better than numerous cheaper options. Quote
fisherrw Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 ive never used it but ive heard good things about it. im planning to get some soon Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 It's not taste or shooter, but it's the best mid-level floro on the market IMO Quote
Super User WRB Posted March 16, 2015 Super User Posted March 16, 2015 Been using this line for decades, the Super Sniper in green 6 lb is my go for spinning reels and finesse applications. I use 10 lb Super Sniper for my cold water jig fishing and 14 lb when the water gets above 55 degrees or per spawn in my nick of the woods. Excellent FC line, small dismeter compared to other brands. I don't see any difference between original Shooter and new Super Sniper in the 10 and 14 lb test. Tom Quote
DTack Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 It is my personal favorite fluoro. Tatsu is all I have personally used that is better, and I can't justify the price difference PERSONALLY. 1 Quote
BasshunterJGH Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Haven't used tatsu or shooter but i love sniper and see no reason to change. Only other fluoro I've tried is red label, sniper was a nice upgrade and I haven't tried anything else since. Quote
ChrisWi Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Yes, it's good line. Even better with a Mustad hook tied on the end of it. oh gosh, not this again! Quote
Preytorien Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I've used it on spinning reels. It's a great flouro, but I only use it now as a leader. I just can't stray away from the manageability of braid. Use an alberto knot and you've got a great flouro leader. Quote
