Since a buzzbait is a surface lure and weight does not determine speed of fall, What do you base which weight buzzbait you purchase? Speed of retrieval? Casting distance?

For me its casting distance.  3/8 is my favorite and I'll throw 1/4 sometimes but it just seems with 3/8 I have better control on where the cast ends up.

Both, I wanna get distance but I still want to slow roll it if needed. Lunker lure buzz shads fit the bill for me.

I have no problem choosing because 3/8oz is the only size I carry :)
