Does anyone on here film and edit their fishing trips? I want to start getting into and don't know what editing software to use. I don't want to pay too much either. I also would like to create a logo for my channel.. If anyone could help me that would be great! Thanks!

Pic monkey to make a banner/logo and movie maker for editing. Both are free, simple, and plenty good enough.

No problem man search how to make a banner on YouTube and watch the video of the girl she explains how to make it the right size.

I'm stuck on the bank so I used a GoPro with a chest rig. GoPro has some free software you can use to edit the raw footage. Works pretty well since the wide angle lens captures the whole process from casting to fighting fish. You just have to make sure anything you do with your hands (taking the fish off the hook, holding the fish up to look at, etc...) happens right at chest level rather than eye level. This takes a bit of getting used to but when you get it down you get some really nice video.

I use a gopro with various mounts on my buddies boats, my canoe, and handheld poles for underwater shots. You kind of just have to take your camera with you and find what works for you. I get really inspired by just exploring youtube and taking ideas from there.

I use a GoPro video camera mounted on a PVC pipe. I use Tipard video editing software. You can find several free video editing programs by searching on Google. The problem with a GoPro is it doesn't have a viewing screen so you have to hope you have the camera pointed to capture all. I downloaded an app to my iPhone that syncs with the GoPro and where you point your GoPro shows up on the iPhone's screen. Here's a 2.5 minute video I made of me catching a 7.4 bass using a wild shiner.

I use a program called (i think) VCDM.... if I'm wrong I will correct, but it has functions to add movies, pictures, sound, transitions and other great options for free. Not to hard to pick up on either. I use it a lot and plan to put together movies from my Sony action cam this spring with it.

I will pm my YouTube video that I used it on to give you an idea of what it can do.

I'll be glad when someone comes out with a camera like the GoPro that gives the user a choice of focal lengths. I find that anything except close ups shot with the fish eye lens of the GoPro, very hard to watch. The "bent" horizons on long shots drive me nuts.

Yeah, both focal lengths and a preview screen would be nice. The fish eye makes me look 50 pounds heavier :)
