Hey I was just wondering if there really is that much different in different lines from different companies? I no the diameter might be different but I was just like wondering if like cheaper line is just the same as the expensive stuff. Like Cabela's line compared to Berkley.

Yes. Big difference.

As for Cabela's to Berkley, all I can add is who makes the Cabela's line?

Seaguar makes the BPS line so you know it has to be good, especially with KVD putting his name on it.

Find out who makes your line with the understanding that when a company like Seaguar makes the line for BPS they will use BPS specifications.

You tend to get what you pay for when it comes to line, but there are quality lines that aren't just real expensive.

Who makes Hi-Seas line? I see on the box it says it is made in Portugal but packaged in the U.S. Is Hi-Seas a real company or does some company in the U.S. buy bulk line from Europe and put their own Hi-Seas name on it? Seeing Bill Dance us it so much I just bought some.

Interesting...when my local BPS was out of 12lb invizx the salesman told me that XPS KVD fluorocarbon was identical to seaguar invizx...i was still skeptical and picked up some Abrazx but maybe I should of went with the XPS???

It's a real company... I use it all the time... and Case Ashely also uses their fluorocarbon.

Everyone has certain criteria they expect of lines.  My criteria is pretty basic, knots being secure and the line having enough strength to pull a fish in.

Being mainly a braid user, I've tried both 4 and 8 carrier lines, I'm more than content with 4 carrier and have no problem with line management.

Co poly and mono lines are bit different, there is a stretch factor that can vary, they're may be a diameter difference from 1 brand to another.

Well, as you experiment with different lines you will find SIGNIFICANT differences.

The decision(s) come down to personal prefwerence for the most part. For all-around

use Yo-Zuri Hybrid is pretty popular among many of our members. Seaguar makes

superior fluorocarbon lines including InvizX, AbrazX and Tatsu.
