I have a bomber fat free shad that runs to the right and need some help.  I can not turn the line tie because how it is positioned.  I already filed the bill to make it more round and replaced the old split ring with a new split ring.  I tested it today and these modifications didnt do much.  I really would like to fix this crankbait but dont know what else to do.  Should i file down the edges so one side of the bill cuts through the water better or is there a specail thing i can do to the line tie?  Im a bit confused so any info will be appriciated.  Thanks all

The line tie is sunk down in the lip right.  If so just bend the top of line tie to the left and see if that corrects the action.    Sometimes you get a bait that just won't run turn no matter what you do to it.

You may be able to send back and get a new bait.

The line tie almost looks like a figure 8, but with half of the 8 in the bill and the other half out where you tie the line.  The part in the bill has a cylindar going through the hole.  So basically I dont think you can turn it at all.

Are they new? If they were, I'd send them back to Bomber for a refund and go out and buy some bandits rapalas :-X

Does the line tie move when you attempt to turn or bend it?   If so then the bait is defective and you'll never get running ture.   I just looked at fat free shad and you can bend or turn the line tie in any direction that you want to.   I'm sorry but that's the only option for tuning that bait.
