cdunlapb12 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Where can I find current River temps online? Quote
Super User Scott F Posted March 13, 2015 Super User Posted March 13, 2015 I get river water levels from waterdata.usgs.gov. Only a few of the rivers have temperature gauges however. Quote
Super User Sam Posted March 14, 2015 Super User Posted March 14, 2015 As Scott posted above, river temperatures are not as numerous as are lake temperatures. C, does the TWRA have any information on a specific body of water you are interested? You may want to check their web site to note if they can give you any direction such as the name and location of the TWRA officer who manages the river you want to fish. In the meantime, please consider searching the Internet with the name of your river seeking fishing reports or other data. You may find some information but the problem is that rivers meander all over Tennessee and they can have great differences in temperatures as they flow within the state. I think all of us are interested in your findings so please post what you find so we can parlay that for everyone's use in the future. Good luck. Quote
cdunlapb12 Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Can't find any info online. So I bought a pool thermometer and I'm going to keep track myself. Made an excel chart with the surface temp, air temps, amount of rainfall, daily weather conditions, and sunrise and sunset. Should be interesting to see how all of this relates to water temperature and the amount of fish I catch. Quote
