Bucketmouth King Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 So I'm getting one of those recessed pedal trays to install my trolling motor pedal. It should be here in the next day or 2. My question is, where do you guys normally install these things? On centerline of the boat or off set to the right like and accelerator pedal in an automobile? If you dominantly fish off the starboard side, do you offset the pedal for that? I know most will say "put it wherever you want". And I know thats possible. What im asking is where the majority place theirs. Quote
lmoore Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I centered mine. I fish off both sides quite often so it made sense. Also looks nicer, imo. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted March 13, 2015 Super User Posted March 13, 2015 Absolutely in the center. The main thing is to select where you like the pedal then mount the box so the pedal is exactly where you always want to find it. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted March 13, 2015 Super User Posted March 13, 2015 Centerline would be where most are. Since you fish off both sides, you can use it's the best spot for it. Quote
Bucketmouth King Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 Looks like its going in the center. Thanks guys! 1 Quote
matuka Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Then the next question is how far forward or back do you want it. Quote
