Dave_orp_fishing Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Should I just stick with flurocarbon? I heard Iron silk stretches a lot* and I'd like to clarify by asking you guys that have used it or just know more about it than me. Thanks! Quote

Super User Fishes in trees Posted March 12, 2015 Super User Posted March 12, 2015 I've found that 17 or 20 lb Iron Silk is a good rattle trap, spinner bait, buzz bait line, because it is abrasion resistant. It has held up well in the areas I fish. Wouldn't know about lighter pound tests. Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted March 12, 2015 Super User Posted March 12, 2015 Flouro stretches also ..get yourself some yo zuri hybrid in 6 and 12lb and go fish problem solved Yo zuri stretches big time plus has a ton of memory , still don't know how you guys like that line !!! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 12, 2015 Super User Posted March 12, 2015 Most guys like Yo-Zuri Hybrid, but some don't. The line is very popular here at BassResource.com and inexpensive. For baitcasting try #12, spinning gear #6. I would also recommend treating the line with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner. Quote

If line stretch is the main concern the best option is braid, or maybe a heavier line. What is the main concern you want to address by changing lines? Quote

I use braid majority of the time but there is also a few things I just have to use flouro / mono for and I prefer the one with the least stretch for lipless cranks and spinner baits and also some cranks.
